Questions
Who can apply?
Young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29 who are based in Myanmar and want to start or grow a small business. You do not need a registered company.
How much can I get?
Up to 2,000,000 MMK per company to start. The amount depends on what your business needs and on the evaluation of our management team.
Is it a grant or a loan?
Neither exactly. After your business launches you share a small slice of revenue back into the fund, up to an agreed cap, so the money can back the next founder. We are finalising the exact terms and they will be written down in plain language before you sign anything.
What if I incorporate a company?
If you later set up a company, the fund may have the right (not the obligation) to invest in it, and some of our mentors may be interested in investing too. Any terms would be discussed privately with you.
If I apply, am I guaranteed funding?
No. We back a small number of businesses each year and review applications on how realistic and useful the plan is. Sending an application does not create any obligation on either side.
Do I get a mentor?
We connect founders with mentors from our network who can review your business model or open doors to customers, suppliers and partners. Our team makes the introduction.
How can I support the fund, or become a mentor?
See the Supporters page to contribute, and the Mentors page to sign up.
